Controversies of 2007

Controversies had its share in the year 2007.The major one is of S.Narayan versus Vijay.Ultimately a conclusion could not be found for this one.The rest includes ‘Thimma’ producers Sampath Kumar and H C Srinivas lashing out at Manjesh and Sai Sagar for throwing tantrums, ‘Preethi Yeke Bhoomi Melide’ and ‘Mathad Mathadu Mallige’ teams facing threats while shooting in Tamil Nadu.

Apart from these issues, Nagatihalli Chandrashekar committee’s State award selection received much of the criticism this year, particularly from the children’s filmmakers who went to court against the committee’s decision.We also witnessed veteran artiste Srinivasamurthy facing a imprisonment in a cheating case,  ‘Sulle Sullu’ song from ‘Preethi Yeke Bhoomi Melide …’ kicking up controversy at the end of the year.Let us hope for less controversy and more achievements in 2008
