Only die-hard Darshan fans ever expect anything out of a Darshan movie. And it was but natural for these die-hard fans to create too much hype and hoopla about ‘Arjun’ in the pre-release days, especially since Darshan was donning the role of a cop for the third time (after ‘Ayya’ and ‘Swamy’) and also because the film was expected to showcase his skills at fight and dance. But alas! ‘Arjun’ turns out to be the biggest disasters in Darshan’s career, courtesy incompetent direction and poor script work (both by Shahuraj Shinde). The film is a big letdown even for die-hard Darshan fans.'Arjun' has no great story to boast of.

Arjun (Darshan) is a Police officer who is high on moral values.Being the only son of a millionaire father, Arjun has inherited plenty of wealth. And he distributes the money inherited from his father to petty criminals. He wants these petty criminals to help him catch big criminals.Arjun finds out from them that four major criminals are creating ruckus in the city.

How he uses his intelligence and his muscle power to eliminate them forms the crux of the film. The storyline is quite unconvincing and replete with loose ends.Though the director has brought Sadhu Kokila's character for comic relief, he is confused as to where to place him in the film.(Thanks to the Censor Board for editing lots of portions featuring Sadhu Kokila, since whatever is there now itself is unbearable.) Moreover the slow pace of narration makes the film fall flat, making it no less than a torture to make someone sit and watch the movie.

Darshan is of course stylish and fits in well in fight and dance sequences. As for acting, it’s terrible.Meera Chopra's has not much to do.Ananth Nag and Urvashi are good. The rest of cast, which includes Sharath Lohitashwa and Suman, are a waste.

And Sadhu Kokila? Not even worth mention.Harikrishna has given one hummable song in 'Balle Balle'.The rest of the songs just don’t impress.Ravi Verma's stunts and Doss’ camerawork could be seen as the only highlights of this movie, which in total is a big letdown.
