'Moggina Manasu' is pleasant to watch
Directed by - Shashank Produced by - - Music by - Mano Murthy Casts - Radhika Pandith, Shubha Poonja, Sangeetha Shetty, Manasi, Rajesh, Sudha Belavaadi and Achyuth. Banner - - First things first, 'Moggina Manasu' cannot be billed in as the greatest cinema ever done on the Kannada silver screen.Nevertheless, the film is definitely a unique and fresh film in recent times as the Kannada film industry has been infested with rowdism and remake films.'Moggina Manasu' is not at all an other love story where in the hero loves heroine or vice versa amidst the refusal from the parents. The film is made largely to target group of young audience particularly the teenagers. The film is the story of four teenaged girls each of them possessing different mindsets.
Chanchala (Radhika Pandith), Renuka (Shubha Poonja), Sanjana (Sangeetha Shetty) and Deeksha (Manasi) are four friends who have different mindsets and who are very much confused in terms of love and selection of boy friends. The film has no great story to boast-off.Still, director Shashank has succeeded largely because the film can appeal to every teenager's life.Though the film centers around the four girls, equal importance have been given to supporting artistes as well as the heroes. The weak point in the film is that it drags many a time making the film a little boring.
The surprise element of the film is the artistes.Particularly Radhika Pandith. It is very challenging to enact a complex character for any fresh talent and She has done exceptionally well in her debut.Shubha Poonja has done a good job as Renuka Devi.Manasi and Shashank are just okay.
It is supporting artistes like Rajesh, Sudha Belavaadi and Achyuth who gets applause by their neat performances.Among the boys, Yash stands out.The others like Harsha, Manoj, Akash are just the part of the game. The film has some fine technical values.Mano Murthy has given a couple of hummable songs in the form of 'Nanagu obba geleya beku' and others.
“Fantastic” is the only word to describe Chandrashekhar's cinematography.'Moggina Manasu' takes you on a pleasant trip.Don't miss it.
