'Nanda loves Nanditha' drives you crazy!
Directed by - Vijay Kumar Produced by - - Music by - Emil Casts - Yogesh, Nanditha, Suresh Chandra, Avinash and others. Banner - - Just when everybody hoped some fresh faces would soon change the complexion of the Kannada cine industry, films with newcomers released in the past few weeks seem to be hell-bent on dashing their hopes and lowering the prestige of Kannada cinema in terms of quality. The latest example is this week's release 'Nanda Nanditha'.This commercial potboiler has nothing new to offer.Cinemas of such kind have been released by dozens over the past few years.Nanda is a disheartened, disgruntled, and disillusioned youngster who joins a bandwagon of finance mafia to make a living.
From there he slowly enters the underworld.Meanwhile, he falls in love with a girl called Nanditha who works in a pickle factory for a living.Soon Nanditha comes to know that Nanda is a gangster who is fit for nothing. How Nanda overcomes the situation forms the crux of the film. The film has an overdose of the underworld, crime and blood-shed which makes you curse yourself for wasting your precious time and money.
Though Yogesh is good in dance and fights, he disappoints as an artiste His diction not jells with the character and his overall appearance and role look like a continuation of his 'Loosa Madha', the character he played in the film Duniya. He needs to take a lesson or two in terms of acting.Nanditha is good in parts.Avinash is better than the rest among the supporting artistes.Others have done their bit.
Technically too, the film has nothing new to offer. Emil gives one hummable song-- 'Jinke marina'.Other numbers are hopeless. It is disheartening to see a talented cameraman like Mathew Rajan waste his talent in these kinds of films.Advice is , better skip it.
