Manukuttan (Indrajith), a real estate business man, gets ready  for marriage. But, none of the proposals that come his way sappeals to him perfectly. At last, his friend brings a proposal which Manukuttan likes, and  he decides to marry her (Gopika).During the preparations  and at the time of wedding, Manukuttan’s friends  play many pranks and though innocent they appear create many  problems in his life.          The theme is based around the custom of "Sora Kalayanam" (particularly in the Malabar region), where a gang of friends play pranks with the bride and groom during the wedding.

It goes on to show how the pranks have serious repercussions in the lives of gang members and their families when they get married.      A host of comedians ,Bijukuttan, Suraj Venjarammood, Mamukoya, Anoop Chandran, and Maniyanpillai Raju play pranks and mischiefs and create peels of laughter in the audience.     Indrajith is good in the role that does not require him to be intense and pumped up.It is heartening to see Mammookoya having a full length role in a film.Suraj Venjaramoodu has become the staple of every film in recent times.

So, he looks a bit jaded, but still inducing laughter as required of him.     The village ambience is presented lively. The Malabar…being a reflection of the usual light-hearted tricks and mischiefs associated with weddings in Malabar, it touches a chord in the audience. But the script goes haywire and it  lacks coherence. It’s not what the doctor ordered, but, if you are in dire need of a hearty laugh  or two, and want to relax you are welcome to the Malabar Wedding.
