Her last outing in Mollywood was in the Mohanlal starrer, 'Mambazhakkalam' (2004). Dileep plays the hero; this is the first time that Shobhana and Dileep come together in a film. The cast includes Sai Kumar, Manoj K. Jayan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Devan, T.G. Ravi, Shafna, Priya Raman, Sukumari, Sangeetha Mohan and Ambika Mohan. Shobhana has essayed many a memorable role in Mollywood, starting with her debut film, 'April 18' (1984), by Balachandra Menon. She has won two National Awards for the Best Actress, for 'Manichitrathazhu'(1994) and 'Mitr, My Friend' (2001).
