Thodakkam: Tunes of a lawyer

The audio launch of ‘Thodakkam’ threw a few surprises.Veteran character artist Raghuvaran has for the first time sung a song in the movie.The famous advocate Jeyarom Pushparaj has handled the music.The lawyer, who is known for appearing for the cases related to the film personalities, has earlier done music for ‘Vikatan’.The songs relayed in the function proved that the lawyer is well versed in music too.

  Pazhani Bharathi, Thenmozhi, Vaigarai Sirpi, Hrudhaya (aka) Krishna Thyagarajan, and ‘Anathai’ Bala have penned the lyrics.‘Thodakkam’, originally named Arambam, is produced Vijayendran Productions.Vijayendra, who was doing construction business, has now ventured into producing films.Vel Murugan handles the camera.R.

Muthu Kumar makes his debut as director in the film.He received an emotional blessings form his relative cum master, director Jayadevi, with whom Muthu Kumar had worked as an associate director.Jayadevi was actually moved when she showered praise on Muthu Kumar.The story of ‘Thodakkam’ touches the current issue of youngsters migrating to US.It tells you the story five friends want to settle down in the America.

The events of a single night change everything all o a sudden and the friends decide to stay back in India.Raghuvaran, playing the role of the President of India, has a pivotal role in the movie.Raghu, Monika, Abinay, Rishi and Mega Nayar play the roles of the five friends aspiring to go to USA.The audio release function was graced by the presence of Bharathiraja, KRG, AVM Saravanan, R.B.

Chowdri, K.Rajan and Sornamalya.It was surprising to note that none of the three heroes present in the function was brought to dais.The movie is scheduled to release during October.
