Vegam songs rock

The songs of ‘Vegam’, a movie in which yesteryear’s comedian S.V.Shekar’s son Ashwin Shekar makes his debut, are simply rocking.The tunes by debutant music director Rajesh vaidya and the picturisation by K.S.

Selvaraj are highly impressive.The performances by the leading stars – Ashwing and Archana – in the songs are appreciable as well.The audio of ‘Vegam’ was released amidst a joyous atmosphere in Sathyam Cinemas complex on August 20, 2007.The screening, the speakers, and the compeers made the evening enjoyable.Four songs that were screened in the function were received well by the audiences that included media persons and film personalities.

Many voices requesting for ‘once more’ could be heard at the end of a couple of songs.Music director Rajesh Vaidya, the famous Veena player, has come out with a variety of songs that go with the current trend.The movie predictably opens with an introductory song, which is, predictably again, a peppy song - ‘Kuththu’ song, to be more precise.The song, penned by ‘Kuththu’ specialist, director cum lyricist Perarasu, has an impressive beat.The hero shows his dancing skills, without which no hero could survive today.

  Among the rest, two songs are duets, which are shot in exotic locations.The camera has captured the beauty of the locations and the heroine as well.Both songs are soothing to the ears.The club song impress with stylish picturisation and smart dancing by the hot girls, and a specialist male dancer.S.

V.Shekar has launched his son as hero through his own production.He has chosen a director who has been struggling to get a right break.Shekar has trusted the skills of director K.R.

Udaya Shankar to launch his son.He has also opted for a new face for heroine.Archana, who has acted in a few Telugu movies, makes her entry in Tamil films through this film.Shekar has written the story and the screenplay, while Gangai Amaran, Piraisoodan, Doctor Krithaya, and Perarasu have penned the lyrics.S.

P.Balasubramanian, Unni Krishnan, Thippu, and Harini have sung the songs.Hero Ashwin and his sister Anuradha too have sung a song each.The presence of veteran actor Kamal Haasan, director Rama Narayanan, young actors Simbu and Sibi were the highlights of the function.All of them had come there as a gesture of their friendship with the Shekar and Ashwing Shekar.

Kamal, who released the audio, recalled his friendship with Shekar, while Simbu, a classmate of Ashwin, recalled his school days and his relationship with the family.All the celebrities including Khushboo, Uday Shankar, and Rajesh Vaidya shared their experiences with the making of the movie.The director was moved when he expressed his gratitude to Shekar.The auditorium reverberated with laughter, thanks to the unique style of compeering by Vijay TV fame Sethu and Siva Karthikeyan.They kept the audience laughing with their fine mimicry skills.

The function finished with a touch of sentiment.Ashwin, the new hero, called his mother to the dais and asked her to cut a cake.The occasion? It was the wedding anniversary of his beloved parents.Here is wishing the newcomer grand success.
