After playing family based entertainers like ‘Lakshmi’ and ‘Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule’ Victory Venkatesh has emerged a winner with this sensibly packaged sentimental family drama with an additional dose of action in the company of his lucky heroine Nayantara.Vasundhara is a fashion designer who lives along with her brother Sivaji and hostel warden (Tanikella Bharani).Parvathi Thulasi Ram alias ‘Thulasi’ (Venkatesh) is an engineer who happens to meet Vasundara in a foreign country.They fall in love and get married.They are blessed with a kid, Harsha (Master Athulith).

Thulasi is the son of Dasaratha Ramayya (Vijay Kumar) a Z P chairman of a village.His rival is a factionist (Jayaprakash Reddy).Hailing from the faction-ridden Palnad area, Venkatesh’s family is horn-locked with the villainous headman (Jayaprakash Reddy).In the civic elections, Thulasi enters into a tug of war with the villan and takes up the responsibility of the campaign and sees that his father wins the polls.Raging with grudge the villan sends his henchmen to kill Thulasi and in the clash Vasundara’s brother is killed.

Unable to tolerate this violent attitude of Thulasi, Vasundara leaves him in an attempt to at least safeguard her son.Now, it is the turn of Thulasi to rescue his wife and his son Harsha who suffers from a cerebral problem.Vasundhara does not know about this.Ultimately Thulasi successfully knocks down his enemies, and his son is also saved after a successful operation.Venkatesh’s performance is really marvelous in the film.

His dialogue delivery and the ability to portray all expressions with equal ease reflect the talent in the star.He looked handsome and touching in several scenes, especially in the emotional scenes involving ‘child sentiment’.Nayantara has fulfilled her role as Vasundhara.The director has taken care flaunt her in a glamorously with a traditional touch.She looks beautiful in the dance members and has proved once again that she can make a hit with Venky.

The comic interlude Ali is an asset to the film.Ramya Krishnan’s guest role is good to watch.Master Athulith’s performance deserves great mention.He has done well in all the frames.All other characters too have done well in their roles.

Dialogues by Paruchuri brothers make good sense.Music by Devi Sri Prasad is another asset to the film.“Tula Tula Thulasi is good and the background score deserves kudos, in particular the song ‘Nenu chuk chuk bandini ro..’ for which Shriya has done an item number.

The story line that was meant to be novel has become just another story when it got executed.On the whole, the film proves to be a flick that can be watched once.All in all, Thulasi is a good family entertainer worth your money and time.
