'Hare Ram': Double act works for Kalyan Ram!
Directed by - Harsha Vardhan Produced by - Nandamuri Kalyan Ram Music by - Micky J Mayor Casts - Kalyan Ram, Priyamani, Sindhu Thulani etc. Banner - Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Arts 'Hare Ram' is Kalyan Ram's second film for his home banner, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Arts.Ram has worked very hard for this film and carries the film on his "twin" shoulders.(He plays two roles in the film). Kalyan and the debutant director Harsha Vardhan have ensured that every ingredient in a "mass masala" movie is incorporated in the film.Fights, songs, dances, glamour, sentiments.
..There is everything in the right proportions.Whether this would suffice for the urban audience is yet to be seen.Hari and Ram (both played by Kalyan Ram) are twin brothers.
Hari is more intelligent of the two, which makes Ram hate those who are more intelligent than him.And this mentality of Ram causes the family to split.Hari lives with his father and Ram, with his mother.Hari grows up to become an IPS officer.Ram is over sensitive about a few things which make him lose control at times.
Hari gets busy investigating a case involving health minister Shiva Reddy (Kota Srinivasa Rao) and his brother Dr.G.K.Reddy (Rajeev Kanakala), and the chairman of a TV channel Surya Prakash (Ashok Kumar).Suddenly, both the brothers get killed.
Ram is thought to be behind the murders, since those dead met him just before the murders. And there starts the story.Kalyanram dons two roles as Hari and Ram with ease.He is able to make the two roles look and feel very different from each other. He is at his best in dances and action scenes.
The national award winner Priyamani sizzles as the glamour girl.Sindhu Tholani, in her brief role, is impressive.Music composed by Mickey J.Meyer is one of the plus points of the film.Actresses Reema Sen, Rani Rajyalakshmi, Ramya Krishna, Alfonsa appear in one song each in the film.
Camerawork by Ramprasad is impressive with some mind-blowing shots.Same is the case with the well-choreographed action sequences.Overall, it is an above average film.
