' Krishnarjuna ' disappoints..

'Krishnarjuna',starring Vishnu and Nagarjuna, generated much heat in the film industry several weeks before its release.  There was a lot of expectations riding on 'KRISHNARJUNA', as Vishnu is coming up with this film after the hugely successful 'DHEE' and Nagarjuna doing special role but the film turns out to be a disappointment.  Arjun (Vishnu) is a simpleton  and  he lives with his grandmother (Manorama) who is working for rich landlord Kodandam(Nasser).Arjun acts as bodyguard cum assistant to Satya (Mamta Mohandas), the rich arrogant sister of his employer.Satya gets engaged to another rich business tycoon(Gilli Dev) but an astrologer tells them that whoever marries her will die.

  So the innocent Arjun is made scapegoat and gets him married to Satya in the hope that after his death the business tycoon can remarry Satya.His grandmother dies after learning the truth and Arjun too attempts suicide, but he sees God with - all with a naked eye.All modern and friendly, the modern god (Nagarjuna) walks with Arjun.The rest of the story is all excitement and fun - as innocent Arjun turns manly and brave, settling scores with his tormentors.  The fault does not lies with the story but in execution.

The first half is slow and boring.The second half has some good moments between Nagarjuna and Vishnu but the climax turns into predictatble mode. For hero Vishnu, it's a carry forward of his energy levels from his previous film 'DHEE'.Vishnu gave striking stunts and eye-catching dances.Nagarjuna takes on the role of a modern God.

His entry heightens the curiosity in the theatres.Mohan Babu's appearance in Shiri sai's getup is a surprise element.His reappearance at the climax elevates the thematic conclusion of the Man-God relationship.Making her debut as full-fledged heroine, Mamta Mohandas is seen flexing her full vigor as a glamour girl in songs and romantic scenes.Manorama, Nassar, Brahmanandam, Tanikella Bharani, and Bhuvaneswari have done their job rightly.

 Keeravani's music too is not that impressive.Camera work is good.Dialogues by Marudhuri Raja are good.Vishnu has used computer graphics and visual effects heavily to give the film chic look.The film lacks entertainment and the narrative style is as old as Himalayas.

Nagarjuna is the only saving grace.
