Godavari
Directed by - Sekar Kamyula Produced by - S.S.C. Arts Music by - K.M. Radhakrishna Casts - Sumanth, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Neetu Chandra, Kamal Kamaraju, Tanikella Bharani `Godavari` is your typical love story of `boy meeting girl during a boatride` presented in a different fashion.Shriram (Sumanth) is an innocent youth who wants to enter politics to serve his people, while Seetha (Kamilini Mukherjee) is a new age girl who wants to start her own business.Initially, Sumanth’s love is heading towards his cousin, Raji, but later on he falls in love with Seetha. The transformation is shown through a wonderful sequence of events by director Sekar. Not surprising if you consider the fact that he won the prestigious Nandi award for his earlier flick, `Anand`.
Though Kamilini sizzles throughout the film by her glamorous looks, it is Neetu Chandra who steals the show in her item number. The director keeps the storyline moving, with his fast moving sequence of twists, which actually prove to be a huge plus point.K.M.Radhakrishna’s music gives one the impression of taking a pleasant dip in the cooling waters of the `Godavari` since the songs are refreshing.
The real hero is, of course, director Sekar who has given a new lease of life to an old storyline with his impressive touches.`Godavari` is a feel good movie told in an interesting manner.
