'Naa Girlfriend Baaga Rich', his latest release, is just another poor effort to make a masala entertainer.
The film, directed by M.Nagendra Kumar, offers nothing new and the story written by the director himself, reminds one of many movies with similar themes.
Sivaji plays Sanjay Sastri, who has plans to marry a rich girl. The middle class-born Sanjay learns golf and becomes a champion and floors Sravya (Kaveri Jha), the daughter of a billionaire (Ahuti Prasad). Sravya invites Sanjay to Bangkok to meet her parents. While in the plane, he mistakes the bag of Mike Tyson (Brahmanandam) to be his. What follows forms the crux of the story.
Sivaji does justice to his role. But the film is a patchy attempt by the director. Kaveri Jha sizzles in song sequences. Maro's deft camera work will be a highlight of the film. Tunes by 'Mantra' Prasad are not very hummable.
