Baskar Casts - Bharathi, Sriman, Livingstone, Kausalya, Sethu, Ajay Rathnam, Karunaas, Manohar Starring - Sethu,, Bharathi Noted stunt master Kanal Kannan makes his debut as a hero in ‘Satrumun Kidaitha Thagaval’ opposite Bharathi. The film directed by Thakkali C. Srinivasan also stars Sriman, Kausalya, Sethu, Karunaas, and Crane Manohar. The music is by another debutant, Bala. The film’s plot revolves around an escapee from a lunatic asylum played by Kanal Kannan who barges into a lonely-house that Bharathi is alone in. His weird antics lead her to believe that he intends to kill her. Meanwhile Sethu, another strange character in police garb, comes out from nowhere, marches into the house and claims to be Bharathi's savior. Suspicious of Sethu's credentials and motives, Kannan desperately tries to convince Bharathi to turn the impostor out of the house while Sethu on the other hand is intent on dragging him to jail. Karunaas plays a detective in search of the escaped lunatic who is egged on by his bumbling assistant, Crane Manohar. Hilarious comedy ensues as the duo hatches a series of madcap schemes to find the missing asylum inmate. Why is Bharathi alone in a palatial house? Why is Kannan harassing Bharathi, whom he has never seen before? Why has he picked this particular house to barge into? Who is Sethu? Is he a cop? Can he save Bharathi from Kannan? The questions pile up and the answers are slowly revealed. Kanal Kannan is all set to become South India's Jackie Chan with his quirky and eccentric acting. Sethu, star of the highly popular ‘Kalakapovadu Yaar?’ shines with his performance while Sriman, known for his dancing and fighting skills, delivers a powerhouse performance in a near little cameo. Kausalya who has a pivotal role in the film makes a strong comeback to the tamil screen. All in all this is a different film.
