Directed by - S S Rajmouli Produced by - Kumar Chowdhary Music by - Keeravani Casts - Ravi Teja, Anushka, Prakash Raj, Vineeth Kumar, Megna Naidu The storyline is very simple: Ravi Teja plays the dual roles of a robber and a police officer.The police officer’s kid mistakes the robber to be her father and chases him.A local gang murders the police officer and the thief takes on the identity of the dead officer.How the hero finally tracks down the gang and captures them forms the rest of the story.Ravi Teja as Sattibabu, the thief, dominates the first half.
His comedy track with Brahmanandam works very well and produces the required effect.In the second half, Ravi Teja dazzles the audience as the police officer who captures the murderous gang.Anushka proves to be an effective pair for Ravi Teja (the thief).She sizzles in her glamorous role.However it is Meghana Naidu who steals the show.
Vineeth Kumar who usually plays the role of the hero’s friend stars as the villain this time and he has done a credible job.Prakash Raj as the henchman of the local gang is quite competent as usual.Keeravani’s music proves that he still has not come out of SIMMADRI’s success as many of the songs remind one of earlier works!
On the whole, VIKRAMARKUDU is a simple story told in a gripping manner.Worth watching.
