Ash is my role model: Haripriya

Haripriya one of the hot properties of Kannada filmdom, with her debut film Manasugala Maathu Madhura releasing this week, already has a couple of films lined up in her kitty.Haripriya has also been constantly in news for other reasons.Recently Filmy South had a chat with the upcoming actress about her roles and performance in the film Industry.

You are in much demand though your debut movie in Kannada has not been released yet.

Yes.In a way I am really fortunate.Though my debut film as a heroine has not been released, I have got two more films Vasantha Kaala and Mukhyamantri I Love You.All the three films and roles are different from one another.I have been getting many other roles since then.I am being choosy now.I don't want to rush unnecessarily.

Q: What do you say about the gossips coiling around you?

They are not true.ly there has been a gossip that I am having an affair with Manasugala Maathu Madhura co-star Anand.There is nothing between us.He is just a good friend of mine.After that the director of the movie Manju Maskalmatti accused me for coming late to the sets and not co-operating properly during the shooting.He shouldn’t have done that.I am a new comer.I still have a long way to go.

How can I do such things like not co-operating for the shooting? I have spoken to Manju regarding this and there is no misunderstanding between us.But I was pretty upset by these gossips.

Q: How did you cope up with the situation?

I was very much upset regarding the way the things took shape.I have decided to be too cautious in the future and not to react for the baseless gossips.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

I have been getting a lot of offers lately.But I am not in a hurry to act in each and every film that comes my way.If I had accepted all the roles, then I would have acted in 20 to 30 films by now.I have rejected nearly a dozen offers because of the scripts.But I am deliberately being choosy and want to do only good roles that would be remembered for long time.That's why I am giving a lot of importance to story selection, banner and directors.

Q: Who do you think is your nearest competitor?

(Laughs), I am not in a position to comment about that.
How can I think about it even before my debut film gets released? I really don't want to waste my time thinking about that.But instead I want to achieve like Aistwarya Rai and moreover, I want to earn a good name in the industry.

Q: Tell us about the secret behind your charming beauty?

If you have a good heart with pure and innocent feelings then it will surely transform into your beauty and that is the secret of my beauty.
