Ambarish takes back his resignation
'Rebel Star' Ambarish has taken back his resignation from the post of the president of the Karnataka Film Artistes Association. The veteran actor and former MP had taken this decision as he was upset at the non-cooperation from a section of the film artistes. Shocked at his decision, Sandalwood's leading artistes met him at his house and apologised for their alleged non-cooperation and made Ambarish change his mind.
Ambarish was upset and angry with the attitude of his fellow colleagues who were not actively participating in the activities of the Association. Recently, the Association had held 'Rajyotsava' celebrations in which some of the veteran artistes, such as Dwarkish, Shivaram and Srinath were felicitated. But apart from Ramesh Aravind, Vijay, Pooja Gandhi and Radhika Gandhi, none of the leading artistes were present at the occasion.
Soon, Ambarish expressed his desire to resign from the post of the president as he wass fed up with the artistes’ behaviour. Moreover, he was very much upset with the recent “slapgate” involving Aindritha Ray and Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar episode. Ambarish sent a resignation letter to the Karnataka Film Artistes Association, Directors Association, Producers Association and the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce.
The artistes held a meeting at Ambrish's residence on Saturday and consoled Ambarish and made him renege on his resignation. But, he warned that he won't take such matters lightly in future.
