Anjana in Ganesh film

Model-turned-actress Anjana Sukhani has been selected as Ganesh's heroine in his forthcoming film 'Maleyali Jotheyali', to be directed by Preetham Gubbi. Ganesh's wife Shilpa produces the film, which will be launched on Ganesh's birthday, July 2.

There was much speculation on who will be Ganesh's heroine in his home production. Ganesh and Preetham wanted a new face for this film and the search was on in Chennai and Mumbai. After a number of girls were auditioned, Jaipur-based Anjana Sukhani was selected.

Anjana made her debut with a small role in 'Na Tum Jaano Na Hum'. Her films include 'Salaam-e-Ishq', 'Jai Veeru' and 'Allah Ke Banday'. This is her first South Indian film.
