'Rayanna' costliest film

'AK 56' starring Siddhanth and directed by Omprakash Rao is said to be the highest budget film up to date in Kannada with more than 12 crores invested on the film. But if Darshan is to be believed, then his new film 'Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna' would be the costliest film ever made in Kannada with a budget of more than 30 crores.

'Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna' which is being produced by Anand Appugol and directed by Naganna is in the making for more than a year. Till now Darshan has shot for more than 150 days for the film and he has to shoot for another 15 days in Mekedaat near Kanakapura. Totally the film has been shot for more than 180 days which is said to be the longest shot film in Kannada.

'This is the first time I am acting in a historical movie and I feel it is very tough to do a historical movie in these times. I went a lot of hardship in acting and dubbing for the film. The producer has spent a lot for this film and I think the money spent for the movie is the costliest in the history of Kannada cinema. The producer has spent more than 30 crores for the film and I am glad that I have been a part of this project' says Darshan.
