'Mungaru Male' goes Bollywood!

'Mungaru Male', the Ganesh blockbuster that gave new lease of life to Sandalwood, is all set to be remade in Hindi. It is reported that Sridevi's husband, producer Boni Kapoor, plans to remake the movie in Bollywood.

Award winning director-cameraman Santosh Sivan will direct the remake, it is reported. Imran Khan and Randhir Kapoor are being considered for the lead role, it is reported.

In Kannada, the movie brought forward a new set of actors and technicians. Golden Ganesh and Pooja Gandhi became superstars overnight following the release of the film. The film has already been remade in Telugu and Bengali. While Telugu remake 'Vaana' was flopped at the B.O., Bengali remake 'Prem Kahini' became a big success.
