Prem stays away from 'Jothegara' promotions!
The 'Jothegara' team has decided to go ahead with the promotional activities of the film without its hero, Prem. Recently Prem had said that he was not at all interested in taking part in the promotional activities of the film.
The tussle between Prem and Ram Prasad surfaced a few days back when Ram Prasad decided not to shoot the hero's introductory song. Prem insisted on shooting the song with glam girl Yana Gupta. Though Ram Prasad had paid her an advance for the same, he decided against shooting the song for reasons of his own.
Ram Prasad even went a step ahead by saying that Ramya was the ‘hero’ of the film and Prem was just a supporting actor. The 'Lovely Star', who was irked by the uncharitable comments, decided to stay away from the publicity and release of 'Jothegara'.
At a press conference, Ramprasad said, "I am sure that my film will run because of the strength of its story than the star value. Prem must understand that I booked him despite three of his films bombed badly at the box-office. I had not discussed the introduction song when signed him for the film. When the film was completed, everybody opined that the introduction song would be a misfit and we were not satisified by the lyrics as well. Ours is a family film and we didn't want to project a song with double entendre. I had told Prem that the song is not at all necessary for the film and we are not shooting the song. But Prem insists that if he has to be a part of the film, then the song must be shot at any cost."
