Puneeth busy again

Post the B.O. debacle of 'Raaj - The Showman', 'Power Star' Puneeth Rajkumar has signed two films. One of them is a remake of Tamil hit 'Nadodigal' and the other, a film for producer 'Soorappa' Babu.

The remake of 'Nadodigal' will be launched next February. Samudrakani, who directed the original version, would be doing the Kannada version for Puneeth's home banner.

The film for Babu, titled 'Prithvi', has been penned by Jacob Verghese. Jacob, who scored a hit with his debut film 'Savaari', will direct the film also. Manikanth Kadri will be the music director. The film is said to go on floors by this month end.

Puneeth is also said to have okayed another film to be directed by Soori. Sources say the film is likely to be launched in December after 'Prithvi' concludes.
