Rajni visits Vishnuvardhan's house
Superstar Rajnikanth visited Dr. Vishnuvardhan's residence at Jayanagar in Bangalore and conveyed his deep felt regret at the demise of the Kannada actor to his family members. Rajni was accompanied by his wife Latha and Ambarish.
Speaking to journalists outside Vishnuvardhan's residence, Rajnikanth said that he had a three-decade-old relationship with the late actor. Rajnikanth reminisced how Vishnuvardhan had encouraged him to move to Chennai in his early days as an actor.
“I have acted with him in films such as 'Sahodarara Sawal' and 'Galate Samsara'. He was already a big star then and I was a newcomer. He encouraged like an elder brother. When I got an offer from Tamil, it was he who encouraged me to take it. He had said that someone from here would make a big name there would make people proud. Only people close to him can understand what kind of a person Vishnu sir was,” said Rajnikanth.
He also expressed his desire to act in the Tamil remake of Vishnuvardhan's forthcoming film. “I had acted in 'Chandramukhi' which was a remake of Vishnuvardhan starrer 'Apthamithra'. Vishnu, who acted in its sequel 'Aptharakshaka', had expressed his desire that I act in its remake. But before the film got released, he left all of us,” said Rajnikanth.
Hundreds of fans had gathered outside the residence of Vishnuvardhan to meet Rajnikanth.
