I am not a pervert: Srinivas

'Mussanje Gelathi' has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. The film stars B P Srinivas and his daughter Shalini in the lead and some of its publicity material depicting Shalini in glamorous poses have irked a few people who allege that Srinivas is exploiting his teenaged daughter for publicity and box-office success.

But Srinivas says he is not a pervert to exploit his daughter. He was literally in tears when he was speaking at the audio release function held recently.

"I am not only the producer, director and actor but have written the story and screenplay of the film. I strongly say this is a pure entertainer. I have never projected any scene in the film that denigrates the relationship between a father and his daughter. I am trying to tell that positive thinking and good attitude hold the key for a good life. The designs of the film showed Shalini in a glamorous attire, but that was only for publicity and nothing else. But a section of the press has been writing all bad things about the film," said Srinivas in a voice choking with emotion.

Shalini said that the film is a clean, pure, sentimental story which can be watched by the entire family.
