Role of a life time
Upendra might have played roles varying from conman to gentleman in his career so far, but his long time ambition to play the role of a police inspector has finally come true with this week's release 'Arakshaka'. Like every other actor Upendra also had the ambition to play the role of a policeman in his films. He was seen as a policeman in his own directorial venture 'Shhh'. But the policeman turns out to be a conman in disguise. After that Upendra did not get an opportunity to play the role of a police officer in his career. Now director P Vasu has given him an opportunity to play the role of his life time in 'Arakshaka'. The role of Upendra in 'Arakshaka' has been much appreciated by film fraternity who saw the film in a special screening recently. Even Upendra's father Manjunatha Rao is awestruck by his son's performance. Upendra himself told this in a recently held press conference. 'My father till today doesn't understand my film 'A'. He often says to me that the film is rather confusing and can't understand the film. But he liked 'Arakshaka' and said that it is better than 'A' which I think is a great compliment. My parents have liked the film. Let's see whether the audience also gives a clean chit to my performance and film' tells Upendra.
