Komal Kumar is one actor who always boasted of wanting to do something innovative. But when he was given a chance to do so, he has turned up with a mindless comedy in the form of 'Chamkaisi Chindi Udaisi'.

Komal had earlier said that the film is inspired from 'Something about Mary'. However, it carries the imprints of many other films including 'Something about Mary'. The story is about Bottu Seenu (Komal) and his two friends who fall in love with a girl called Kamala. But the friends are disappointed as the girl leaves for Malaysia.

Meanwhile, another person finances Seenu to fly to Malaysia to collect information about a girl (once again the same Kamala!). Seenu traces Kamala in Malaysia and bluffs her saying that he is an architect. Meanwhile, Ganesh also goes to Malaysia as he has not heard anything from Seenu after landing in Malaysia. By now Seenu is deeply in love with her. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

The major drawback of the film is its script and narration. Though the film has its share of fun filled moments, the film is boring. Director A R Babu (it’s his 25th film!) has failed miserably in engaging the audience, particularly, in the second half. Even actors like Komal and Sharan cannot save this sinking ship, thanks to a uninteresting script written by Komal himself.

The finest point of the film however is the notable cinematography by Ashok Kashyap. It's a treat to watch Ashok Kashyap's work particularly in the songs. Other than the cinematography, Komal's acting is also worth a mention. Komal carries the film on his shoulders. Nidhi Subbaiah looks glamorous in songs. Sharan, Rahul, Asif Farooqi, Shobharaj, Kiran and others have done their bit.
