Junglee
Genre - Action Directed by - Soori Produced by - Rockline Venkatesh Music by - V Harikrishna Casts - Rangayana Raghu, Aadi Lokesh etc. Starring - Vijay, Andrita Ray After the debacle of the experimental 'Inthi Ninna Preethiya', scenarist-director Soori had declared that he would be back with a new film, peppered with all kinds of commercial elements. But Soori has failed miserably, once again.
'Junglee' is the story of Junglee Prabhakar, a big fan of the late actor-director 'Tiger' Prabhakar. Junglee wants to make it big in films and seeks the help of Gudde Narasimha (Rangayana Raghu). Gudde feels that Junglee is more suited to be an underworld guy and takes him to a retired don, Guruswamy. Meanwhile, Junglee falls in love with a girl Padma (the sensuous Andritha Ray). What happens then forms the plot.
If Soori had made it big in 'Duniya', that was because of the deftly screenplay. But in 'Junglee' Soori doesn't have a good screenplay to depend on. The dialogues are monotonous and meaningless.
Though Vijay and Rangayana Raghu try to effect a laugh riot, the impact doesn't last long. An overdose of flashback sequences go against the film.
The high points of the film are Satya Hegde's camerawork, Harikrishna's songs (particularly 'Hale Paathre…' and 'Junglee Shivalingu…') and the glam show by the lead pair.
