'Love Guru' is the latest in the series of films which use nice music, neat cinematography and crisp dialogues to narrate a boring love story. Director Prashanth Raj, who hails from the Mahesh Bhatt camp, has made a stylish flick which lackssubstance.

The story revolves around two youngsters, Pratham and Khushi, who work in a same software company. Pratham and Khushi are in love with each other, but circumstances do not allow them to share their feelings for each other. After a lot of hide and seek, Khushi doubts that Pratham is interested in another girl, Priya, and agrees to marry her boss Abhi. It's better to see the film in the theatres to understand what happens next.

Prashanth Raj has presented the film to suit today's young audience. The protagonists of the film behave, dress and feel just like today's youngsters. But, the director fails to knit a tightly woven script with all these ingredients. The film is snail paced particularly more in the second half. Even the comedy sequences by Sharan and others do not get with the mood of the film.

Tarun is the sober of the lot. The actor must seriously consider taking a class or two in acting. Radhika Pandith is consistent in her third film. Her performance is the highlight of the film. She breathes life into the role of Khushi Dilipraj is a surprise. Yajna Shetty has nothing much to do. Veteran artistes like Ramesh Bhatt, Jai Jagadish, Chitra Shenoy, Srinivasa Murthy, and Girija Lokesh have done their bit.

The real hero of the film is music director Joshua Sridhar. Some of the songs such as like 'Thangaali Thandeya', 'Yaaru Kooda', and ‘Ondondu Storygu' are quite melodious. Jnanamurthy's camera work is another highlight of the film.
