Director Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar has done it again. He has come up with a good story for his 'Olave Jeevana Lekkachara', but has messed up with the film just as he did with his previous effort 'Mathad Mathadu Mallige'.

'Olave Jeevana Lekkachara' tells the story of how innocents fall prey to pseudo intellectuals and spoil their lives. Balu is one of them, who is heavily influenced by one such lecturer, played by Rangayana Raghu. While in college, he cheats his lady love Rukmini (Radhika Pandith) on the advice of his lecturer. He runs away from her, after stealing her jewellery, to the city and turns out to be another pseudo intellectual lecturer who has no qualms about anything. He is reformed by a fellow lecturer. Meanwhile, he finds out that the lecturer who mislead him while he was in college is a big fraud. What steps Balu does take to reform himself forms the rest of the film.

Nagathihalli shows his brilliance in bits and pieces. He should be congratulated for selecting the right artistes for the roles. However, the screenplay could have been much crisper. Though the first half appears a little boring and preachy, the second half is quite engaging and interesting, except for the confusing climax. The film has three separate climaxes!

Nagatihalli has extracted some fine performances from his leading artistes. Srinagara Kitty as a confused youth and Rangayana Raghu as the pseudo intellectual steals the show, though sometimes he overacts. Radhika Pandith steals the show with her performance. Daisy Bopanna, in a small role, has done a neat job.

Manomurthy's songs are above average. He has given two hummable numbers and one among them is 'Nanna Preethiya Geleya'. Ajay Vincent's camera is good.
