Mollywood's remix songs

Mollywood has now taken a liking to remixes. What began as a joke in Mohanlal’s ‘Chota Mumbai’ with the remix of superhit song “Chettikulagara bharanikaavil ulsavam” has caught on like a rage. In recent times Prithviraj brought alive “Oru Madhurakinavin” in his film ‘Tejabhai and Family’ and now Mammootty will jive to the remix of superhit romantic number "Kannum kannum thammil thammil" from ‘Angadi’. The original film which was released in 1980, saw Jayan and Seema romance on this song and added this tune to the annals of Mollywood history. Now the song will be remixed for Mammootty's upcoming film ‘Venicile Vyapari’, directed by Shafi.

Mammootty will have Poonam Bajwa to groove with him onscreen for the song which will be shot Ooty and Mysore. Music director Bijibal will remix the song for the new film. Mammootty will be seen in three different avatars in Venicile Vyapari’. He will don the role of a police constable, an undercover cop and a coir merchant in this film, set in the 1980s.
