Mammootty as goonda in 'Chattambinadu'

The superhit team of Mammootty and director Shafi team up again for'Chattambinadu'. The duo had combined to make two blockbusters in 'Thommanum Makkalum' and 'Mayavi'. The film is slated for release during Christmas season and promises to be an action entertainer.

Mammootty plays a planter, Virendra Mallaya, who has several criminal cases against him. The story is about how the hero tames a criminal gang in Chembanadu in Karnataka, who were a law unto themselves.

'Chattambinadu' will be produced under Mammootty’s own banner, Playhouse. Just as in 'Raja Manickam', Mammootty will be seen sporting a different look and speaking a different Malayalam, say sources.
