Meera Jasmine in trouble

Actress Meera Jasmine, who has not had a release in Tamil for quite some time now, seems to have another problem to contend with now.

If sources in the industry are to be believed, the actress has been issued summons by a court in Kozhikode in connection with a case filed by Malayalam producer K A Devarajan.

Sources say that Devarajan has, in his petition, claimed that the actress has not honoured her commitment of acting in his film titled Swapnamalika. He had also said that the actress had however, taken a sum of Rs five lakhs as advance for working in the film. For her part, the actress has been claiming that the producer has changed the story of the film.

The actress, whose plea that she be excused from making a personal appearance in court in connection with this case has been turned down, will now have to appear in the court on or before August 8.
