After the blockbuster, 'Udayananu Thaaram', superstar Mohanal and Sreenivasan come together in 'Breaking News'. TK Rajeev Kumar directs the film being produced by Maniyan Pillai Raju. The film will go on the floors on April 5 in Thiruvananthapuram.

Mohanlal plays a TV journalist who comes to the house of a bankrupt farmer (Sreenivasan) who threatens to commit suicide. Singer Madhu Balakrishnan will play an important role in the film.

Venu and Rajeev Kumar write the script and Ravi Varman is the cameraman. The cast includes Innocent, Mukesh, Siddique, Biju Menon, Maniyan Pillai Raju, Jagadeesh, Kochu Preman and Sona Nair.
