'Pazhassi Raja' to release on Aug. 15

The post-production work of 'Pazhassi Raja', a historical film written by MT Vasudevan Nair and directed by Hariharan, has resumed after a gap of several months. The Mammootty starrer is expected to release on August 15.

Pazhassi Raja was one of the very first leaders who rebelled against the British rule in India. The film narrates how Pazhassi fought valiantly with the help of tribals to strike terror in the hearts of the British.

Supreme Star Sarathkumar, Suman, Thilakan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Manoj K.Jayan, Kaniha and Padmapriya play important roles in the film. Many English, European actors appear in the film. Gokulam Gopalan produces the mega budget film and Ilayaraja composes the music.
