'Yodha 2' on the anvil

'Yodha' has been one of the most hilarious and loveable films featuring Mohanlal and Jagathy Sreekumar. The film, directed by Sangeeth Sivan in 1992, was set in Nepal and had a theme with Buddhist myths in the backdrop.

The stupendous success of 'In Harihar Nagar' 3 has been the inspiration to make the sequel, it is learnt. Mohanlal has already allocated dates for the movie, our sources say.

For the original, Santosh Sivan was the cameraman and AR Rahman scored the music. Madhubala played the female lead and Puneeth Issar was the villain. Other important artistes in the film included Urvashi, oduvil Unnikrishnan, Meena and MS tripunithara. In the sequel being planned, Mohanlal, Jagathy Sreekumar, Urvashi and Puneeth Issar will be repeated. Harris Jayaraj will score the music.
