‘Chithrashalabhangalude Veedu’
Directed by - Krishnakumar Produced by - Ravi Chalissery Music by - Dr.Muhammed Shakeel Casts - Master Ganapathy, Lakshmi Sharma, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Manraj, Gayathri, Saikumar, Mala Aravindan, Ambika Mohan, Manikandan, T.S.Raju, Chali Pala etc. Starring - , ‘Chithrashalabhangalude Veedu’, which sees the coming together of a group of debutantes, including the producer and the director, is an appreciable work, though not an outstanding one.Though the makers like to say that the it’s not a children’s film, ‘Chithrashalabhangalude Veedu’ is in fact a children’s film in style and form, but it would appeal to grown ups too, if you have the mind to see it as what it’s intended to be.‘Chithrashalabhangalude Veedu’ takes us into the world of young Kunjimuththu (Master Ganapathy), a very naughty boy, a real headache to the authorities of the school in which he studies. They want him out of the school, but hesitate to do so as they fear it may affect the reputation of the school. One day, when the Police arrest Kunjimuththu for carrying illicit arrack, brewed by his father (T.
S.Raju), the school authorities finally dismiss him.And then enters a kind-hearted teacher Suja Sreedhar (Lakshmi Sharma) and with that the story takes a twist.Master Ganapathy is good as Kunjimuththu while Lakshmi Sharma plays her part fairly well. The rest of the cast are all ok.
Nothing much to speak about the technical aspects, though the technicians have all done their work fairly well, rendering all support to the debutante director. The songs are not bad and suit the nature of the film.‘Chithrashalabhangalude Veedu’ is a movie that has to be encouraged, since such movies are rare today and also because it comes from a debutante director.
