Genre - Thriller Directed by - P N Satya Music by - Bijibal Casts - Dileep, Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy Sreekumar, Harishree Ashokan, Anoop Chandran, Manikuttan, Sona Nair, Lakshmi Krishnamoorthy and Ruby Starring - Sreenivasan, Mamta Mohandas What will one do if his/her fellow traveller is attacked by anti-social elements or gets injured in an accident? In most cases, one would slip away quietly, for sure! 'Passenger', directed by debutant Ranjith Shankar, tells a different tale. An ordinary man, when faced with such a crisis, decides to interfere! Though the film is a little amateurish and slow for one's taste, the strong storyline and simple narration make for an engrossing watch. Half of the film has been shot inside moving trains; cinematographer P. Sukumar's visuals are pleasing to the eye. The editing, however, is a bit shoddy at times. The film's events take place in a span of 24 hours. This is one thriller that fails to convey a sense of urgency and anxiety to the viewer, though it keeps him hooked. Mamta Mohandas has played her role with admirable restraint. So is the case with Dileep. Sreenivasan plays his usual onscreen self with his brand of caustic humour. Ranjith Shankar, the director of 'Passenger', is a former assistant of Lal Jose.
