As for the actresses, Bhavana is the only one who has got something to do in the whole film. Kavya has been brought in just for the sake of that. And Nayantara sizzles on screen in just a song sequence and then vanishes. Gopika does nothing more than playing the homely wife and doesn’t impress. The younger generation of actors, namely Prithviraj, Jayasurya, Kunchacko Boban etc, are there for just a song and dance sequence. What a pity! When the action of the film, post-interval, gets focussed on the lead stars, i.e., Mammootty, Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi, almost all the other stars start vanishing from the scene one by one.

The USP of the movie, the only scene that makes you sit riveted to your seats is scene just before the interval, which has been delivered with the right kind of punch. But the climax has not come off so well. The songs don’t impress much and are of the ‘easily forgettable’ kind.
The film is very much likely to do good business, especially as it caters to the expectations of the fans, especially those of Mammootty, Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi.

Joshi, teaming up once again with the Udayakrishna-Sibi.K.Thomas team, delivers exactly what is expected out of ‘Twenty20’- a strategically packaged, well-balanced (giving due weight to all key players) flick that doesn’t bore you on the whole. But whether the movie is worth reviewing is a question that baffles a serious movie reviewer.
