‘Vettaikkaran’ starts big

Vijay starrer ‘Vettaikkaran’ is having a huge opening at the B.O. in south India. Even in Kerala, where it was released with 75 prints, a record for a Vijay film, it has had a great opening. The film by debutant Babu Sivan has Ilaiya Thalapathi doing his typical song - dance-fight routine with aplomb. Anushka Shetty, though has an insignificant role, oozes oomph and is a treat to watch.

The grand opening came as a breather to the superstar, who was reeling under back to back flops in 'Kuruvi', 'Azhagiya Tamizh Magan' and 'Villu'. The actor has thanked Kalanidhi Maran for promoting the film so well.

Vijay is cuurently busy with ‘Sura’. The film unit has just came back from Hyderabad and we hear that half of the shooting is over.
