Dhanush signs a Hindi film

After making his presence felt in Kollywood in a big way, Dhanush, the National Award winning actor, is stepping into Bollywood. He will play the lead role in a Hindi film titled 'Raanjhnaa', a love story.

To be helmed by Aanand L Rai, the movie is expected to hit the floors soon. Confirming this development, Dhanush says, "Yes, I am happy to make my Bollywood debut with this film by Aanand L Rai. It is a great script."

The director too is equally happy. He says: "Dhanush is a talented actor who is so simple and down to earth. I was mightily impressed with his performance in Aadukalam and that was one of the reasons behind having him on board."

A couple of months ago, there was a buzz that Dhanush would wield the megaphone for a Hindi film. But this latest development has apparently put an end to the claim. In Kollywood, the actor will son have the release of 3.
