'Ghilli' goes to Bollywood: Abhi to lead

After ‘Ghajini’and ‘Pokkiri’ , another Tamil blockbuster, ‘Ghilli’, is on its way to Bollywood. The movie, directed by Dharani, had catapulted Vijay into superstardom.

The ‘Ghilli’ mania started in Bollywood with a commercial video showing Abhishek Bachchan dancing to the tunes of “Appadi Podu”, a song from ‘Ghilli’. The song became popular in North India through some reality dance shows. The popularity of the song has prompted the Bollywood star to remake the movie in Hindi, it is learnt.

While the cast and crew of the film are yet to be finalised, Deepika Padukone is tipped to play the female lead.
