Karthi talks politics

Karthi Sivakumar has cleared the air on his forthcoming film 'Saguni', which is being claimed as his first political thriller. "I am not playing a politician, but a shrewd man who teaches a lesson to politicos in the country," he says.

"Of course, the basic knot is about politics. But we are not intended to criticize anyone. Our aim to take a comical dig at the system which has many loopholes, which in turn encourages many to indulge in unlawful activities," he says.

Being helmed by newcomer Shankar Dayal, the film has Pranitha, the 'Udhayan' girl, as the leading lady. Santhanam is taking care of comedy. "After Siruthai, Santhanam and I are coming together again and it is going to be a laugh riot," Karthi says.

The actor, who has just celebrated his 'Thala Pongal' (his first harvest festival after marriage), says: "Life is more beautiful after marriage. It is a nice feeling when someone is waiting for me at home, no matter at what time I return from work. I am happy with my wife Ranjini."
