SRK to remake 'Ramana'?
With Hindi remakes of Tamil movies doing well in the Bollywood box-office, Shah Rukh Khan seems to be following the route of Salman Khan and Ajay Devgnn in remaking super hit Kollywood films.
The Bollywood Badshah is expected to play the lead role in the Bollywood version of Tamil blockbuster 'Ramana', which had Vijayakanth in the lead role. The film was directed by A R Murugadoss, who is now a hot property in Bollywood, thanks to 'Ghajini'.
According to sources, two Tamil films are currently in the priority list of Shah Rukh, and they are Kamal Haasan's Gautham Vasudev Menon directed 'Vettaiyadu Vilayadu' and 'Ramana'. "He will most probably choose Ramana," they say.
Murugadoss, who is currently busy making 'Thuppakki' with Vijay, is expected to wield the megaphone for the 'Ramana' remake. It is to be noted that it was the same director who helmed 'Tagore' starring Chiranjeevi, which is the Telugu remake of 'Ramana'. "If Murugadoss signs the project, this will be third time for him to direct the same script. But he is expected to make some changes to the original screenplay to suit Bollywood audience. He had in fact made some interesting changes in the Telugu remake as well," add sources.
