Trisha lands Akshay film!

Trisha Krishnan is all set to follow the footsteps of Asin into Bollywood. She has landed a film by Priyadarshan, starring Akshay Kumar in the lead.

Priyan said, "I suggested Trisha's name as Akshay wanted a fresh face for his 'Khatta Meetha'. He saw a few of her films, met her, was impressed and she is in."

It was Priyadarshan who introduced the Keralite in films with his 'Lesa Lesa'. Trisha is happy that her mentor is once again giving her a break.

She has been on a roll these days, with as many as three hits--'Abhiyum Naanum', Nagarjuna starrer 'King' and 'Sarvvam'-- in her kitty. Her forthcoming films include Dhanush starrer 'Aadukalam' and Goutham Menon's 'Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam'.
