Trisha and Priyamani unite for Fashion

Trisha has been roped in to play the central role in the Kollywood remake of the blockbuster Hindi film ‘Fashion’. What’s more interesting is the fact that national–award winning actress Priyamani will play the supporting role to her. This role was originally played by Kangna Ranaut in the Hindi version.

The remake season is in full swing all across the south and this is the second remake that has been announced in recent days after Simbu’s remake of ‘Dabangg’ in Kollywood. Nayanthara was initially chosen to reprise the role played by Priyanka chopra in the original ‘Fashion’ but she refused when approached. Nayans’ loss seems to have become Trisha’s gain as the offer has fallen onto her lap.

For those of you who are wondering why Priyamani chose to play the supporting role, a quick reminder that both Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut won the National Award for their respective roles in Fashion and both roles are considered of considerable importance and value.
