Vijay to enter politics soon!

'Ilaiyathalapathi' Vijay has confirmed that he intends to form a political party soon. There were rumours that the actor would announce the launch of his party on June 22, his birthday.

He said he wanted to do more for the people. "Yes, I am serious about plunging into politics... I have about 37,000 fan clubs spread across Tamil Nadu who are doing social work. I want to do more for the society and that is why I want to enter politics. Now I'm waiting for a suitable time to announce my political plans...," Vijay said.

Vijay and his father, director SA Chandrasekhar, have been nursing political ambitions for long. Last year, a flag for his fan clubs were released. Vijay's last film, 'Villu' had some dialogues loaded with political significance, but the film bombed at the B.O. Right now, the actor is busy with 'Vettaikkaran', produced by AVM.
