Vishal to bounce back with ‘Dhoranai’

Vishal appears to have overcome the failure of his home production ‘Sathyam’ and is back to action with ‘Dhoranai’, produced by his brother Vikram Krishna’s G.K.Film Corporation. The film will be another bilingual affair, to be titled ‘Pistha’ in Telugu, and will see Shriya teaming up with Vishal for the first time.

Vishal was in fact enjoying consecutive hits in ‘Sandakozhi’, ‘Thimiru’, ‘Thamirabharani’ and ‘Malaikkottai’. Bur ‘Sathyam’ bombed miserably and Vishal has now apparently realized that he can’t take anything for granted in the industry. He seems to be a bit cautious these days.

Sabha Ayyappan, who has worked as an assistant director under the likes of Mouli, Shaji Kailas and Boopathy Pandian, turns director with ‘Dhoranai’. Ayyappan also writes the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film. He says that the story is basically a family-oriented one with a right mix of action and comedy.

Prakashraj, Pandiarajan, Kishore, Manobala, T.P.Gajendran, Livingston, Suman Shetty and others will form the rest of the cast. Mayilsamy, ‘Paravai’ Muniamma and Pyramid Natarajan would also play significant roles. Meenakshi, who debuted in Karan’s ‘Karuppasamy Kuthagaidharar’, will be doing an ‘item’ number in the film.

Mani Sharma is the music director and will be setting to tune lyrics by Snegan and Vivekaa.
