Yuvan to tune Kalam's poem

Yuvan Shankaar Raja will set to tune ‘Song of Youth’, a poem written by former President of India Abdul Kalam. The immensely popular work will be brought out as music albums in English, Hindi and Tamil.

Just as his earlier book ‘Wings of Fire’, this work also addresses the youth of India. Yuvan is very happy and excited to be selected for such an honour. The video album would feature Dr Kalam and Yuvan. The video will be directed by Dhanapal Padmanabhan, who had earlier made a documentary on Dr. Kalam.

Yuvan, the son of legendary composer Ilaiyaraja, debuted in films at the age of 16, by scoring the tunes for 'Aravindhan'. In 13 years, the versatile musician has composed for more than 75 films. They include blockbusters such as 'Dheena', 'Manmadhan' and 'Billa' and sensitive films such as 'Paruthiveeran', 'Kaadhal Kondein', '7G Rainbow Colony' and 'Pudhupettai'.
