Potta Potti

Who said cricketers can do only commercial advertisements? Given a chance, they can do well on big screen too. Sadagopan Ramesh, a former Indian cricketer, has proved that he is capable not only wielding the willow but also donning the grease paint.

In Potti Potti, a film made on cricket, he plays himself and does leave an impression with the masses. Directed by Yuvaraj, it is a hilarious entertainer and speaks about the lifestyle in the villages.

The film is not just about cricket, but also romance, sentiments and other things, all mixed at right combination by Yuvaraj. Potta Potti has its moments of brilliance ends up make you laugh, despite the fact that you are reminded of Lagaan and Chak De.

There are a dozen new faces in the film. They seem to have got under the skin and performed well. Coming to the story, Kollaivanan (R Sivam) and Kodaivannan (Umar) fight to hold the hands of a girl Parijatham (Harini).

The village panchayat decides that they both should form a team and play cricket and the winner would get the girl. Enters Ramesh (Sadagoppan Ramesh). Coming to know that he is a cricketer, Kollaivannan forces him to train their team.

Kollaivannan along with his accomplice Avatharam (Avathar Ganesh) tries all means to win the match. However, coming to know that Kodaivannan is noble hearted, Ramesh goes out to help him.

But the twist in the tale is Ramesh falls for the girl
