AP Film Chamber "bans" Rajamouli!

Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber has asked all organisations related to the film industry not to cooperate with S S Rajamouli, one of the most sought after directors in Tollywood. The decision amounts to a ban on the top filmmaker.

The Film Chamber made the harsh decision on the basis of a complaint from producer Chanti Addala, who claimed that the director was paid a sum of Rs 5,00,000 towards advance on September 2002, but due to reasons best known to Rajamouli, he could not work for Addala. When he sought the advance amount back with interest, the director refused, said Addala in his complaint. The Chamber has instructed Rajamouli to pay Rs 25 Lakh (36 percent interest per annum on Rs 5 lakh), to the producer.

The directors association is expected to hit back strongly and a formal decision is expected within two days.

SS Rajamouli is currently busy with Ram Charan Teja starrer 'Magadheera'.
